The Norman Whiteside Facility, our clubs training facility, came as the result of four years of lobbying by the local community, with a representative from our club supporting Edenbrooke and Glenwood Primary Schools along with other community group.
The project saw a vacant piece of land adjacent to the rear of Edenbrooke Primary transformed into an all-weather multi-surface facility, used six nights per week as well during daytime hours by a variety of youth and community groups and is a focal point for the local community at Woodvale
Our Honorary President, Frank McAllister serves as Honorary Treasurer on the facilitys Management Committee, which employs a full-time Development Worker in partnership with the Greater Shankill Sports Development Unit.
The £400,000 facility was officially opened in January 2007 by former Manchester United and Northern Ireland star Norman Whiteside, a former Edenbrooke pupil.
